Roland Ortt as endowed professor in Urban Innovation Management |
Dr. Roland Ortt is appointed endowed professor in Urban Innovation Management at Erasmus University Rotterdam as of 1 May 2022. Real change in a city requires a combination of new policies, new behavioural patterns of interest groups and new business models of involved companies and organisations. How can these different types of innovations be combined in practice? This is one of the central questions of this chair, which has been established by the Netherlands Study Centre for Technology Trends (STT) and is embedded in the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Centre for BOLD Cities. |

Digital literacy in the public library |
Dr. Jiska Engelbert, prof. dr. Liesbet van Zoonen and Miyabi Babasaki participated in a research project to evaluate the implementation and impact of one of the instruments that the government has launched together with public libraries to counter digital illiteracy, the so-called Information Points Digital Government (IDO). The research demonstrates that the full potential of these IDOs is not yet reached, and identifies the factors that undermine their success. |
